2019 Domaine du Joncier "L'O"
Varietals: Grenache, Syrah
Region: Rhone Valley, France
Tasting Notes: Powerful aromas of red and black fruits lead into a palate with notes of cherry, raspberry, and a hint of spice. On the finish, there are lingering flavors of black pepper and minerality. The selection has excellently balanced acidity, silky tannins, and a soft finish.

Cantine Colosi
Varietal: Grillo
Region: Salina, Italy
Tasting Notes: Crisp and clean with refreshing acidity and flavors of apple, ripe pear, peach, and floral undertones. This wine is aged for 4 months in Acacia barrels, an unusual and rare practice. This gives an elegant vanilla hint and a pleasant roundedness without altering the aromas.

2019 Tenuta di Collosorbo ‘Le Due Gemme’
Varietals: Sangiovese, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Region: Montalcino, Italy
Tasting Notes: This delicious Super Tuscan is fresh and fruity, with good structure that is balanced by a surprising softness. Fruit-forward on the nose with hints of raspberry and plum. On the palate, flavors of cherry, cocoa, and barley accompany a subtle oak note. The well-rounded palate leads into a pleasant, lingering finish.

Maria Casanovas Brut de Brut
Varietals: Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Parellada
Region: Cava, Spain
Tasting Notes: Aromas of ripe citrus and tree fruits are accented by a touch of white flowers and yeast. On the palate, notes of pear, orange peel, and honey lead into lingering flavors of toast and citrus. Crisp and clean yet beautifully complex.

2018 Haut-Maco 'Jean Bernard'
Varietal: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Bordeaux, France
Tasting Notes: This classic Bordeaux blend is concentrated and powerful. Rich aromas of ripe red and black fruits are accented by hints of toasted vanilla and oak. 2019 Fledge & Co 'Hoeksteen'
Varietal: Chenin Blanc
Region: Stellenbosch, South Africa
Tasting Notes: Bright aromas of citrus blossom, golden apple, and honey on the nose. On the palate, flavors of toasted almond, yellow plum, and red pear are accented by hints of ginger and rooibos. Round and creamy, with a smooth finish.

2021 Scenic Valley
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Region: Willamette Valley, Oregon
Tasting Notes: Produced by one of the oldest wineries in Oregon. Rich, Burgundian flavors of red cherry, strawberry, pomegranate, and earthy mushrooms shine through on the palate. Ten months of barrel aging round out the tannins and acidity, creating a soft and lingering finish.

2021 Field Recordings 'Skins'
Varietals: Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Albarino, Vermentino, Albillo Mayor, Verdelho
Region: Central Coast, California
Tasting Notes: Aromas of orange peel, white peach, and floral notes lead into flavors of apricot and Haitian orange. Smooth on the palate, with hints of marzipan and persimmon. The skin contact provides body and texture, with a soft tannic grip that leads into a soft finish.

2017 Miguel Torres 'Vigno'
Varietal: Carignan
Region: Maule Valley, Chile
Tasting Notes: Big flavors of blackberry and wildflowers accent hints of bay leaf and mint. Expansive on the palate, with juicy tannins and a beautifully smooth finish. This stunning wine earned to impressive 93 Point scores: one from Vinous and one from Wine Advocate.

2021 The Hare & The Tortoise
Varietal: Pinot Gris
Region: King Valley, Australia
Tasting Notes: Delicate aromas of freshly cut pear, lemon, and subtle spice lead into a mouth-filling burst of flavor. Bosc pear, granny smith apple, and white flowers on the palate are accompanied by refreshing acidity.

2020 Darby 'Purple Haze' Red Blend
Varietals: Cab Sauv, Malbec, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petite Sirah
Region: Columbia Valley, Washington
Tasting Notes: Bold aromas of dark currant, cherry, and plum lead into hints of smoke, caramel, and cedar. Flavors of blackberry, plum, and cassis are complemented by notes of earth that add depth. The palate is rich, with a silky-smooth texture and soft tannins. 18 months of oak aging softens the wine and provides a generous finish.

2020 Basa Lore 'Igartzeta' Txakoli
Varietals: Hondarrabi Zuri
Region: Basque, Spain
Tasting Notes: Beautiful aromas of white flowers, apple, and citrus zest on the nose. Fresh flavors of lemon, green apple, and a touch of salinity are accompanied by a fresh acidity. Because this wine is aged for 10 months on lees, it develops a velvety mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.

2020 La Domitienne

Region: Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Tasting Notes: Fruit-forward aromas of raspberry and cranberry accompany flavors of strawberry, red cherry, and a hint of thyme. The grapes are selected from the best old vines which results in bold, concentrated flavors. Soft and silky on the palate, the wine reveals fine and supple tannins that lead into a long, pleasant finish.

2021 Tsiakkas Xynisteri

Region: Cyprus
Tasting Notes: Flavors of peach, white flowers, and lime zest are accompanied by bright and energetic acidity. The island climate and ocean breezes lend hints of sea salt and minerality to the palate. It is crisp on the finish with a pleasant, almost smoky aftertaste. 2018 Ijalba Rioja Crianza

Region: Rioja, Spain
Tasting Notes: Aromas of dried fruit, dark plum, and toasted almond are accompanied by flavors of ripe red fruit, tobacco, and vanilla. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, allowing the oakiness to permeate the wine and contributing to the silky texture. It has a long, lingering finish with velvety-smooth tannins.

2018 Knuttel Family 'Bill's Hidden Track'

2020 Domaine Cauhape L'Eclipse
Varietals: Gros Manseng, Lauzet
Region: Jurancon, France
Tasting Notes: Tropical and floral aromas lead into flavors of mango, kiwi, white peach, and grapefruit. Juicy and citrusy, it has a medium body and a long finish. This wine is great if you love both Viognier and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing the body and floral tones of the former with the tropical and fruity notes of the latter.

2018 Spring Seed 'Scarlet Runner'
Varietals: Shiraz
Region: McLaren Vale, Australia
Tasting Notes: This wine opens with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and oak.  The red fruit aromas lead into flavors of plum and sour cherry that are complemented by minerality, leather, and black pepper.  A full-bodied Shiraz with silky tannins and medium acidity.

2020 Noble Hill Sur Lie
Varietals: Chenin Blanc
Region: Simonsberg-Paarl, South Africa
Tasting Notes: The wine is fermented with wild yeast populations and left to age on its fine lees for nine months with regular stirring, allowing it to develop fullness and depth. The result: intricately layered aromas of fresh lime blossom, honeydew melon, and green apple, leading into notes of tropical fruit and citrus on the silky palate.

2019 Remhoogte 'Free to Be' Red
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon & Cinsault
Region: Stellenbosch, South Africa
Tasting Notes: Bountiful red fruit, plum, and smoky aromas lead into a palate with flavors of red cherry, raspberry, black currant, and pepper. Unfined and unfiltered, it is medium-bodied with bright, juicy acidity and a long, earthy finish.

December 2021

Antech Brut Tradition
Varietals: Mauzac, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay
Region: Limoux, France
Tasting Notes: Aromas of peach, pear, and honeysuckle lead into classic Mauzac flavors of apple, honey, and grass. Mauzac is also known for contributing high acidity, which lifts this wine and makes it feel very fresh. Produced in the traditional method, it drinks a lot like Champagne with a steady balance of fruitiness and toastiness.
