2022 Les Brebis Ramato
Varietal: Pinot Grigio

Tasting Notes: Red fruit and citrus aromas lead into a palate with vibrant fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry, blood orange, and guava. Savory notes of almond and acacia permeate. Seven months of aging in neutral French oak adds even more complexity and roundness.

2022 Giustini 'Areale'
Varietal: Primitivo
Region: Manduria, Italy
Tasting Notes: Plush flavors of blackberry, stewed tomato, strawberry, figs, and raspberry coat the palate, which is further accented by hints of umami, balsamic, and pepper. Full-bodied on its own, it was aged for 3 months in French oak to add complexity. It boasts a long, leathery finish.

Oliver Viticultors Cava Brut Nature
Varietal: Sparkling
Region: Penedès, Spain
Tasting Notes: Mouthwatering aromas of citrus and tree fruits lead into green apple, lemon, toast, and brioche. The wine has a long, refreshing finish. It’s delightful on its own for a toast or aperitif, but also pairs beautifully with holiday meals.

2019 McNab Ridge
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Mendocino, California
Tasting Notes: Deeply approachable, rich flavors of blackberry, plum, dark cherry, and cassis reinforce dark fruit aromas. This wine is intriguing and refreshing, supported by earthy hints of tobacco and cedar. A balance of French and American oak introduce delightful notes of vanilla and chocolate on the finish.

November 2023

2022 Murdoch Hill
Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Adelaide Hills, Australia
Tasting Notes: Flavors of ripe guava, mango, and pineapple are accented by hints of lime, lemon, and gooseberries, alongside classic herbal tones. Although Sauvignon Blanc is usually light-bodied, the winemakers took 10% of the juice and fermented it with wild yeasts in used French oak barrels for weight and finesse.

Varietal: Pinot Noir
Region: Santa Barbara, California
Tasting Notes: Fragrant aromas of raspberry, cranberry, citrus, and herbs lead into intriguing fruit flavors of Bing cherries, red plum, raisins, and dried orange peels. Earthier tones of black tea and thyme dance along the sensational palate, which juicy and beautifully structured with a long, savory finish.

2021 Lightwell Survey 'Strange Collapse'
Varietal: Rose
Region: Shenandoah Valley, Virginia
Tasting Notes: Juicy red fruit aromas lead into full flavors of strawberry and watermelon rind, aided in their richness by some whole cluster, semi-carbonic maceration, and six weeks of skin contact for the Vidal Blanc. Wet stones add gorgeous minerality, bringing us to a satisfyingly long finish.

Rosemont of Virginia
Varietal: Red Blend
Region: Virginia
Tasting Notes: This medium-bodied red opens with red fruit aromas of plum, cranberry, and cherry. On the palate come hints of raspberry, black pepper, and dark chocolate. Cedar and vanilla suggest some oak aging, combining with the fruit’s natural characteristics to create a balanced wine that’s both quaffable and serious.

2020 Weinreider Klassik
Varietal: Gruner Veltliner
Region: Weinviertel , Austria
Tasting Notes: Enticing aromas of tree fruit and spices lead into mouthwatering flavors of green apple, pear, peaches, quince, and white pepper. Minerally slate and sea salt tones complement the pepper. Bright and citrusy, it makes the mouth tingle with hints of lemon, lime, and grapefruit. Dry and juicy yet refined, with a long, stony finish.

2022 Sonder
Varietal: Grenache Blanc

Tasting Notes: Delightful saline minerality and zippy acidity are accented by citrusy lemon, grapefruit, and nectarine aromas. Thirst-quenching, juicy flavors of apple, lemon, and pineapple dance along the persistent palate, which continues with subtle hints of honeysuckle, pith, and melon. A tinge of pear leads into a long, sea salt finish.

2020 Poor Boy Red Blend

Tasting Notes: Aged in highly prized Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon barrels. Red and black fruit aromas lead into a smooth palate of cherry, blackberry, and vanilla. Spices underlie the body, which boasts a gorgeous, grippy structure. At 15.5% ABV, leathery tannins and massive fruit are supported by the subtle sweetness of the barrels.

2022 Mirabeau 'X' Rose
Varietals: Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet, Cinsault, Grenache Blanc
Region: Provence, France
Tasting Notes: Intense aromas of yellow peaches, nectarines, and pear lead into a hint of almond blossom. Delicate flavors of frangipane, vineyard peach, and citrus are accompanied by a round and delicious mouthfeel. It is a fresh and mouthwatering rose that is a stunning example of the region.

2020 Haut Espoir 'Cloudfall'
Varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay
Region: Franschhoek, South Africa
Tasting Notes: This blend has a crisp bouquet of lime zest and white stone fruit. On the palate there are flavors of peach, white pear, apple, and hints of passionfruit, with notes of green melon and hazelnut that linger through the long, rich finish. Elegant, rich, and fresh.

2020 Backsberg 'Pumphouse'
Varietal: Shiraz
Region: Stellenbosch, South Africa
Tasting Notes: The 2020 ‘Pumphouse’ Shiraz is a powerhouse of a wine. Aromas of smoky campfire and a hint of toasted oak immediately waft from the glass. Black cherry and mulberry flavors give way to aniseed and vanilla on the palate. The long finish exhibits a wonderful velvety depth.

Tasting Notes: Crisp and clean with refreshing acidity and flavors of apple, ripe pear, peach, and floral undertones. This wine is aged for 4 months in Acacia barrels, an unusual and rare practice. This gives an elegant vanilla hint and a pleasant roundedness without altering the aromas.

Region: Jurancon, France
Tasting Notes: Tropical and floral aromas lead into flavors of mango, kiwi, white peach, and grapefruit. Juicy and citrusy, it has a medium body and a long finish. This wine is great if you love both Viognier and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing the body and floral tones of the former with the tropical and fruity notes of the latter.

2018 Spring Seed 'Scarlet Runner'
Varietals: Shiraz
Region: McLaren Vale, Australia
Tasting Notes: This wine opens with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and oak.  The red fruit aromas lead into flavors of plum and sour cherry that are complemented by minerality, leather, and black pepper.  A full-bodied Shiraz with silky tannins and medium acidity.

Tasting Notes: The wine is fermented with wild yeast populations and left to age on its fine lees for nine months with regular stirring, allowing it to develop fullness and depth. The result: intricately layered aromas of fresh lime blossom, honeydew melon, and green apple, leading into notes of tropical fruit and citrus on the silky palate.

2019 Remhoogte 'Free to Be' Red
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon & Cinsault

Tasting Notes: Bountiful red fruit, plum, and smoky aromas lead into a palate with flavors of red cherry, raspberry, black currant, and pepper. Unfined and unfiltered, it is medium-bodied with bright, juicy acidity and a long, earthy finish.

Antech Brut Tradition
Varietals: Mauzac, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay
Region: Limoux, France
Tasting Notes: Aromas of peach, pear, and honeysuckle lead into classic Mauzac flavors of apple, honey, and grass. Mauzac is also known for contributing high acidity, which lifts this wine and makes it feel very fresh. Produced in the traditional method, it drinks a lot like Champagne with a steady balance of fruitiness and toastiness.
