2017 Clos Apalta 'Le Petit Clos'

Le Petit Clos is a different take on the Clos Apalta terroir, using the same grapes as the 'Grand Vin,' but in different proportions that allow the younger vines to prove their worth. It displays a gorgeously elegant profile and powerful fruit character, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, toasted oak, and spice. A higher percentage of Cabernet than Carmenere allows bright fruit flavors to shine through. 96 Points, James Suckling.
