Abadia de Acon Joven Tempranillo
Ribera del Duero is known for its big, tannic, and oaky wines, but if you buy a "joven" you can find an unoaked style that - however young and fruity - is still pretty bold. One of our favorites is the Abadia de Acon Joven, a "young" Tempranillo from a multigenerational winery that offers a deep red-cherry color with a complex fruit profile of blackberries, plums, and dark cherry. It is vibrant, smooth, and one of our all-time favorite values. It is the perfect sipping wine and an idea pairing for red meats and cheeses.
