Valravn Old Vine Zinfandel
Tasting Notes: Dark cherry and black raspberry aromas with pepper spiciness. The palate is warm with fruit flavors of blueberry, cassis, and blackberry compte. A hint of briar and tobacco accent an energetic finish. This bottle strikes the ideal balance of tannins, fruit, and acidity.
“This wine presents outstanding value. It was aged 14 months in French oak, mostly neutral. Velvety thick, it is peppery and bursting in berry bramble, graham cracker and cola. The richness is nicely offset by bursts of acidity that keep it fresh and grounded. Editors’ Choice.” – 92 Points, Wine Enthusiast
