Two Mountain Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes: French elegance meets the complex personality of Washington State. Blackberry pie, baking spice, dried oregano, a little beef stock, and a hint of miso richness combine with the French oak spice and sweetness to lay the foundation for a complex, yet romantic palate.
Named after the majestic view of Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams which can be seen from the vineyards, Two Mountain Winery was founded in 2000. The Rawn family had been fruit farmers in Yakima Valley for more than 50 years when they decided to convert a cherry orchard to vines. Brothers Matthew and Patrick follow a minimalistic approach to growing and making wine. They feel they have an obligation to "operate in a way that ensures the next generation inherits a world worthy of their potential." Through their tireless efforts, Two Mountain became Washington State's first certified sustainable vineyard.
