Trespass Old Vine Zinfandel
Tasting Notes: This is an Old Vine Zin to suit every mood! Aromas of spice box, blackberry jam, and herbs lead into hints of vanilla. On the palate, flavors of black fruit, dried currant, and a hint of smokiness are well supported by balanced acids and tannins. This wine is produced in such miniscule quantities - only 150 cases this vintage - that it isn't even submitted for ratings. But if it were, we're guessing the critics would load it up with 92 and 93 Point scores!
Trespass Vineyard is a collaboration between husband-and-wife Don and Dana Gallagher and renowned winemaker Kirk Venge. Located in the heart of Saint Helena, their five-acre vineyard is a true labor of love. By observing the cycles of the vineyard and meticulous maintenance of the vines, Trespass is able to harvest grapes at their most optimal moment to create great wines. Kirk and Don are constantly reviewing the progress of the wines, making subtle adjustments, and improving upon their methods. This partnership has guided the development of the wines into the elegant and refined selections for which Trespass has become known.
