Remo Farina Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore

The historic Remo Farina estate is best known for their luxuriously decadent Amarone. Their Ripasso can't compare to its big brother, of course, but at this price it outperforms pretty much every other wine in its category. The juice for this wine undergoes a second fermentation together with the pomace of the Amarone, creating a 'baby Amarone' that offers a fresh and juicy body with intricately nuanced flavors of pepper, fruit marmalade, cherry, prune, and mocha. An incredible value!
