Remhoogte 'Honeybunch' Chenin Blanc

Tasting Notes: Only the exposed bunches on the morning sun side of Remhoogte’s 35-year-old Chenin Blanc vineyard are selected for this wine. The grapes turn gold in color as a result of this exposure, giving the wine a unique honeyed character. Honeysuckle aromas lead into rich flavors of pineapple, apricot, and passionfruit. The long finish offers notes of sea salt and spices. 

Since 1994, Remhoogte has been crafting premium wines in the esteemed Stellenbosch region of South Africa. With a similar climate and soil to Bordeaux, the region produces exceptionally complex wines. Remhoogte Wine Estate produces amazing small-batch values from some of South Africa’s best grapes. The estate focuses on minimal intervention, allowing the terroir and the grapes to tell their own story. All of Remhoogte’s wines are made using sustainable practices and are unfined and unfiltered (i.e., vegan!).
