Prodigo Sangiovese Riserva

Sangiovese is Italy's star red grape and a big player in Tuscany, but because this one comes from less-famous Emilia-Romagna it's a better value. This bold Sangiovese offers expressive aromas of savory herbs and red fruit that lead into bright, juicy flavors of cherry, plum, sundried tomato, and oregano. The wine was aged for 12 months in oak, allowing it to earn the 'Riserva' designation and contributing further tones of vanilla and anise. Very food-friendly, it's a fantastic alternative to Chianti from a different region of Italy.
