Petra 'Zingari' Toscana

Founded in 1997 by Vittorio Moretti and his daughter Francesca, Petra is one of the most innovative and progressive wineries in Tuscany. The estate sits on some of the most prized land in the Maremma subregion, which has become known for producing outstanding Super Tuscan blends. 

And while they are primarily known for their ultra-premium, highly rated bottles, Petra also crafts selections for everyday drinking that have captured the hearts and palates of wine enthusiasts. Their Zingari label began as an experiment aimed to test how well Syrah, Merlot, Sangiovese, and Petit Verdot from their younger estate vineyards could perform. Needless to say, that 'experiment' turned into a phenomenon!

Their 2017 Zingari earned 93 Points from Wine Spectator and #29 on their Top 100 list of 2019, shocking wine lovers with its incredible value. It showcases ripe, juicy flavors of cherry, plum, and blackberry along with savory herbal tones like thyme and sage on the palate, leading into moderate tannins and a long, slightly rustic, distinctly Tuscan finish.
