Maison Ventenac 'Steph' Merlot

Juicy red currant and raspberry burst through smooth plum and blackberry, all balanced by hints of pepper, saline, and cocoa. The wine underwent micro-oxygenation to promote a bright fruit character and spent 3 months on fine lees for complexity, but the winemakers chose to leave it unoaked to create a lighter, more quaffable style that's completely different from other wines of this varietal.
