L'Escarelle 'Le Pacha' Rose
We love the Mediterranean French region of Provence for its light, quaffable pool-sipper roses, but we love richer, more flavorful styles from premium subregions even more! Chateau de l'Escarelle's 'Le Pacha' rose comes from Coteaux Varois en Provence, a subzone that – thanks to its inland location, hilliness, slightly cooler climate, and calcareous (clayey limestone) soils – is known for producing roses with brighter acidity and bolder aromatics than regions closer to the coast. This blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah showcases enticing aromas of raspberry, red flowers, and peaches, leading into gorgeously concentrated flavors of strawberry and watermelon that envelop the palate. It has a light body with mouthwatering acidity, beautiful minerality, and one of the longest finishes we've ever seen on a rose. Chateau de l'Escarelle is in the process of converting to organic viticulture and boasts a prestigious HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification for its strict eco-friendly and sustainable practices.
