Mauro Molino 'Leradici' Barbera d'Asti
Tasting Notes: This delightful Barbera offers enticing aromas of raspberries, rose petals, and spices on the nose, showing good fruit with just a hint of rusticity. The palate shows distinctive flavors of plum and balsamic, leading into a long and mineral finish. This wine is a fantastic alternative for Cabernet Franc fans, and it's a great option with Sausage Pizza!
"A distinctive red, offering raspberry, blueberry, and earth flavors, matched to a supple texture. Shows intensity and balance, with a hint of wild herbs on the savory finish" - 91 Points, Wine Spectator
Mauro Molino grew up in Piedmont but took a break to work in Emilia-Romagna after his military service. When he came home in the late 70s, he began producing fine Barolos from some of the region's best vineyards (and never stopped). Nowadays, his children Matteo and Martina spearhead the project. They've brought the estate into the international spotlight, and almost every bottle produced receives international accolades.
