La Domitienne Picpoul de Pinet

Picpoul is one of our favorite grape varieties, and not just because it's off the usual radar. If Sauvignon Blanc is a great pairing with shellfish and raw seafood, Picpoul is the perfect pairing. Crisp and savory just as Picpoul de Pinet should be, this wine showcases delicate aromas of white flowers and citrus that lead into crisp flavors of lime, grapefruit, lemon zest, and wet stones on the palate. It is bone-dry with mouthwatering acidity and a mineral finish. 'La Domitienne' refers to the French name of the ancient Roman road Via Domitia that connected Rome to the southern tip of Spain through the coastal French city of Narbonne.
