Domaine de Raissac 'Ostrea' Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon Blanc comes from the warm south of France, where it takes on tropical tones not usually seen in cooler, more famous, and more expensive regions further north in France (i.e., Sancerre). Aromas of tree fruits complement those tropical tones, leading into flavors of green apple, mango, gooseberry, and grapefruit on the palate. It is crisp and dry, with hints of minerality on the long finish. Domaine de Raissac is run by a husband-and-wife team who tend their ancestral vineyards in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon.
