Conte di Campiano, a producer that specializes in southern Italian wines, makes this delicious Primitivo from Puglia, a.k.a. "the Heel of the Boot!" It is full-bodied, with intense flavors of blackberry, raspberry jam, cherry liqueur, and licorice that lead into a long, warming finish with leathery tannins and hints of chocolate.
