In 1967, Italo Cresti decided to believe in his vocation and turn his passion for wine into a business. He founded Carpineta Fontalpino on an estate with wine-making roots that dated back to the 19th century. Located in the heart of Tuscany, the surrounding territory is rich in history that locals aim to preserve. Today, the estate is run by Italo’s children, Gioia and Filippo. Gioia carries her father’s passion, and literally ‘picks out’ the best grapes. As she is responsible for all the production phases, each bottle is imprinted in her own personal style. Their classic style with a modern, clean interpretation earns them numerous 90+ scores vintage over vintage.
