Bodegas Olivares Tinto
Tasting Notes: This lightly oaked red blend is incredibly versatile. Aromas of blueberry and a hint of dark chocolate accompany flavors of blackberry and dried herbs.
"The juicy and young red 2020 Tinto was produced with a majority of Monastrell, with some Syrah and Garnacha from their Hoya de Santa Ana vineyard, produced in a honest, fruit-driven and fresh way. It has notes of berries and herbs (thyme and rosemary) and a juicy palate with glossy tannins and a long, dry finish with very fine tannins. Deliciously Mediterranean."
Bodegas Olivares produces wines with character that highlight the unique terroir in the region. It is considered one of the top estates in Jumilla and consistently produces award-winning unbeatable values. Bodegas Olivares’ vines are rare survivors of the phylloxera epidemic that spread across Europe at the end of the 19th century. The outbreak devastated virtually every wine region on the continent, but miraculously, the estate’s Monastrell survived. As a result, their land is covered with some of the oldest examples and largest concentration of ungrafted vines.
