Paula Kornell California Brut Sparkling
Tastes Like: Marzipan, Peach, White Flowers
Paula Kornell is breathing life back into the sparkling wine tradition begun by her father, pioneering winemaker Hanns Kornell, who was the first to use “Méthode Champenoise” in California. Growing up among the vines in Napa, Paula was destined to continue her family’s legacy of crafting wines that are “stylish, sophisticated, and engaging.”
After 30+ years of experience in the wine industry, when Paula launched her own brand she set a new bar for outstanding California bubbly. This inaugural bottling of her Brut Sparkling earned the #5 spot on Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Wines of 2020, along with an impressive 94 Point rating. This blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir made in the traditional Champagne style, with the elegance, refinement, and freshness you would expect from the famed French houses.
“This inaugural release is stunning and incredibly impressive—a wine well worth stocking up on for the price and quality. A beautiful jasmine aroma leads to marzipan, peach and cherry flavors as lively acidity envelopes the palate. It’s a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir.”
