Casas Patronales Carmenere Reserva
Maule Valley, Chile
Tastes Like: Blackberries, Pepper, Dark Chocolate
This ruby red wine comes to us from the Maule Valley, home to Chile’s oldest vines and one of the country’s largest wine-producing areas. The area was traditionally associated with bulk wine, but small producers like Casas Patronales are moving toward premium-quality selections. Fruit for their Carmenere Reserva was hand-selected and harvested, then aged in 6 months in oak. A lively wine with notes of fresh black fruit, cherries, black pepper, and dark chocolate.
