First established in Épernay in 1822, Baguet-Jouette is run by the 5th generation of the Jouette family, who own 14 hectares of land in some of Champagne’s most premium vineyard sites. Yes, that Épernay, Champagne lovers – home to Moët et Chandon, Perrier-Jouet, and Pol Roger, just to name a few. And though the big names may get all the attention and praise, it’s the tiny handful of independent producers here who are crafting wines that overdeliver on both quality and value. And with 200+ years of winemaking under their hats – longer than Krug or Salon – the Jouette family has undoubtedly perfected their skill at producing stunning Champagnes, vintage after vintage.
Their Brut Rose is simply breathtaking, with an intense bouquet of red berries and orange peel followed by succulent flavors of wild strawberries, lemon zest, white cherry, and toasted brioche. Delicate and expressive bubbles represent the true essence of Épernay, with refreshing acidity and harmonious balance that linger on the mouth-watering finish.
